Metroball DC is proud to announce several Big developments for 2023

In 2023 Metroball will have teams competing on every level of the Adidas Circuit.  From Junior 3SSB to Adidas Gold/3SSB, Metroball teams will be ready to showcase some of the best talent in the DMV.

  In addition, We will have 2 teams competing on the ZGXL Academic Circuit.  Zero Gravity has selected Metroball DC to compete in this excellent Academic Circuit.  This Circuit is geared towards more Academic and skilled players.  It will have many Ivy League and other top schools present at their events.  Not only to recruit, but also to give feedback and help each player in their recruitment so they will succeed on and off the court. Through our partnerships with One On One and Bruce Kelly, Metroball will once again offer the opportunity for our players to play internationally against some of the best youth teams in Europe and South America.  In 2022 the team played in Argentina in several historic gyms around the country.

  Metroball has formed an exclusive partnership with Red Jenkins LTD .  Metroball is now an official distributor of all Adidas Team Gear.  We also have in house printing capabilities.  We can outfit any School, Club, or Rec team with Official Adidas Gear.

Coach India Thomas CEO of Husky Sport has merged with Metroball DC as the Chief Executive of our Girls Basketball Division (Metroball Huskies). Coach Thomas is the Head Varsity Girls Coach at Mount Vernon HS, she is a former player at Northeastern University.  The Metroball Huskies Basketball Division consists of six (6) teams, grades 6th through 12th.

  Metroball DC has also merged with Future Hungry’s CEO, Rafriel Guthrie who is now the Chief Executive of the Boys Middle and High School Divisions (Metroball-Future Hungry) 8th & 9th grades. Coach Guthrie is the Head Assistant Varsity Boys Coach at Potomac HS, he is a former player and graduate of Towson University, he was named D1 All-CAA Third Team All American on the men’s basketball team.
